GSQ software for analysis of neutron diffraction data on glasses and other disordered materials.

The GSQ software suite contains many programs.

The core program is GEMSQRAW, which does simple reduction of data from the GEM diffractometer at the ISIS neutron source.

The simplest way to run GEMSQRAW is to type a command like GSQ 216 220 in OpenGenie
(in this example, 216 is a sample run number for liquid CCl4, and 220 is a vanadium standard run number)

After running the program, the diffraction data can be plotted by typing commands like d bank[2] 0 20 

(the data on liquid CCl4 distributed with the GSQ software were collected during the commissioning of GEM, and only detector banks 2, 4 and 5 were present)
